Kirin Virk, a native of Lodi and Stockton, is a shareholder of the firm.

Ms. Virk was selected for inclusion in the 2012 Super Lawyers-Rising Stars Edition for Northern California by the publishers of San Francisco Magazine and Law & Politics Magazine. This distinction is given to no more than 2.5% of the lawyers in California.

Prior to joining the Damrell firm in 2004, Ms. Virk was an associate at Pinnell & Kingsley in Sacramento, where she represented and advised various public agencies, including water and fire protection districts, school districts, and county offices of education, regarding labor and employment matters and public meeting law/Brown Act requirements.

Ms. Virk concentrates in the areas of complex business litigation, employment law, administrative law, general business law, and other civil litigation. Ms. Virk’s business litigation practice encompasses both the defense and prosecution of claims involving business torts, breach of contract, trade secrets, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and business dissolution. She has counseled and represented clients in various phases of litigation, including initiation and defense of lawsuits, mediation/settlement, arbitration, and trial. In addition to her business litigation practice, Ms. Virk represents employers in various labor and employment matters, including lawsuits filed in civil court for wrongful termination, discrimination, and unpaid wages, and claims before administrative agencies, such as the Labor Commissioner, Department of Fair Employment and Housing, and Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board. Ms. Virk also advises employers and employees regarding a wide range of matters, including discipline and termination, wage and hour, leaves of absence, discrimination/accommodation, and employee handbooks.

Ms. Virk served on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross, Stanislaus County Chapter, from 2008 to 2010.
